How the PrepIQ app collects, uses and protects your information.

About this policy
This policy explains how PrepIQ (the Android app com.datarepo.prepiq), developed by DataRepo Private Limited ("DataRepo", "we", "us"), the Data Fiduciary, handles your information. Information we collect
- Study data — your class or exam (Class 9–12, NEET, JEE), mock-test answers, scores and weekly progress.
- Account information — if you sign in: name, email address and an account identifier. Without signing in, study data stays on your device.
- Device and usage data — such as device model, Android version, app version, crash reports and diagnostic data, collected by the app and Google Play services to keep the app working and fix problems.
How we use it
- To run mock tests and show your scores and weekly progress.
- To sync progress across devices when you are signed in.
- To show ads, keep the app secure and improve it.
We do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
PrepIQ may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and ad interactions to show and measure ads, under Google's privacy policy. Where required, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
Not an official exam body
PrepIQ is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with NTA, CBSE or any exam board, and practice scores do not predict real exam results.
Children
PrepIQ is used by school students, many of whom are under 18. Under the DPDP Act, a child (under 18) may use PrepIQ only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian. For users under 18 we do not use behavioural tracking or targeted (personalised) advertising; any ads shown are non-personalised and family-safe. If you are a parent and believe your child has used PrepIQ without your consent, email hello@datarepo.in and we will delete their data.
Retention & deletion
Data stored only on your device is deleted when you clear the app's data (Android Settings → Apps → PrepIQ → Storage → Clear data) or uninstall the app. To delete any data we hold about you, email hello@datarepo.in with the subject "PrepIQ data deletion"; we delete it within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you. Email hello@datarepo.in.
Grievances and complaints
Contact: Grievance Officer, DataRepo Private Limited — hello@datarepo.in (subject: "Data request" or "Grievance"). We aim to resolve grievances within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security & changes
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data and will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of a personal data breach as the law requires. We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: hello@datarepo.in.
