How the PillMeds app collects, uses and protects your information.

About this policy
This policy explains how PillMeds (the Android app com.datarepo.pillmeds), developed by DataRepo Private Limited ("DataRepo", "we", "us"), handles your information. By using PillMeds you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — if you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. In guest mode no account information is collected.
- Health and medication data you enter — medicines, doses, schedules, reminder times, medication history and doctor appointments.
- Medicine search queries — what you type into medicine information and AI medicine search.
- Purchase information — if you buy premium, Google Play processes the payment. We receive only the purchase status needed to unlock premium; we never see your card or payment details.
- Device and usage data — such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs and advertising identifiers, collected by the app and by Google services (including AdMob) to run the app, fix problems and show ads.
How we use your information
- To schedule and deliver your medicine and appointment reminders.
- To show your medication history and appointments.
- To sync your data across your devices when you are signed in (cloud sync).
- To answer medicine information and AI medicine search queries.
- To provide and verify premium purchases.
- To show ads in the free version and to keep the app secure, stable and improving.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health and medication data for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Guest mode: your data stays on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers.
Signed in: your data is stored in our secure cloud database so it can sync across your devices. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Third-party services
PillMeds uses these services, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google Sign-In — to sign you in.
- Google Play Billing — to process premium purchases.
- Google AdMob — to show ads in the free version. AdMob may use device identifiers to show and measure ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your Android settings. Premium removes ads.
- Cloud database and hosting provider — to store and sync data for signed-in users.
- AI service provider — to answer AI medicine search queries. Only the search text is sent, not your name or account details.

Medical disclaimer
PillMeds is a reminder and information tool. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. AI search results can be incomplete or wrong. Always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's advice, and do not rely on PillMeds for emergencies.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account and synced data as described on our account deletion page. Guest-mode data is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@datarepo.in. To delete your account, see PillMeds account deletion.
Children
PillMeds is intended for adults. Users under 18 may use it only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, as the DPDP Act requires. We do not knowingly process a child's data without that consent; if you believe we have, email hello@datarepo.in and we will delete it.
Grievances and complaints
Contact: Grievance Officer, DataRepo Private Limited — hello@datarepo.in (subject: "Data request" or "Grievance"). We aim to resolve grievances within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
